Mountain Memories

Looking for your Wedding Photographs from years ago. Our archive contains the work of Harry Rowed, Ray O'Neill and Keith Allen.

If you got to my site looking for a wedding photographer to photograph your wedding here in Jasper, then, sadly, you are too late because I have now retired from active shooting for weddings. Still doing High School Graduations and Sports Camps and corporate convention photography and Large Groups but, alas, I have had to give up the weddings. But for a list of local wedding commissioners and wedding service providers click here.

Married in Jasper in the last 60 years and photographed by Ray O'Neil of Rowed & O'Neil or Keith Allen of Exposures?
If so, we have your negatives on file and you may purchase them outright now.        Contact Keith Allen 780-852-8447.

For 60 years, first Harry Rowed and Ray O'Neil and then Keith Allen documented the life and times of the people of Jasper and those fortunate enough to have had their weddings and conventions here in the Rocky Mountains. The archive of negatives that we have is enormous. We have on file over 1000 weddings. Contact us today to purchase your file of negatives from your special day.

Jasper offers many beautiful locations for both your ceremony and for your wedding portraits. I have such good memories of the wonderful people that I photographed on their wedding days. I had these photos up to show the quality of my work when I was doing wedding photography. You may now have your images, either negatives or digital files from your big day. Give me a call or contact me through the e-mail submission form at the bottom of the website.

Marilyn Monroe signalling the engineer from the tail end of the Canadian National Railway caboose that she and Robert Mitchum and Rory Calhoun and the crew of the movie River of No Return rode to the shooting location each day. Filmed in Jasper in 1953 and released in Hollywood in 1954, the movie shooting location was along Jasper Lake at the Devona railway siding.
Marilyn Monroe had a beautiful smile and a genuine personality according to some of the Jasper locals who had a chance to spend time with her. She stands in front of the Limestone Collin Range of mountains east of Jasper.
Marilyn posed over and over throughout her career and here she poses for her Director, Otto Preminger, while the set photographer catches her smile.
Marilyn with a horse and the limestone Collin Range in the distance makes an incredible image. Beautiful warm sunny weather in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The movie industry found great locations for their filming in the Rockies.

This must be the Hollywood sexy seductive Marilyn from the tabloids as she look so demure and breathless. A truly vampish celebrity sex symbol pose. All the guys want this one and their wives make them buy the lovely peaceful look of the first shot shown on the page. I love it!

Rory Calhoun holds his rifle on Robert Mitchum while Marilyn looks troubled. The cabin was destroyed by fire after the fight finished between Rory Calhoun and Robert Mitchum. The cabin fire scene was photographed three times with the three cabins they built on site so that they could be sure that they had the fire scene "in the can" when they developed the films back in Hollywood.
Lighting for this shot was controlled by the set hand with the lighting scrim on the roof of the cabin as the microphone hangs on its boom above the scene and the director looks on as Robert Mitchum, Marilyn Monroe and Rory Calhoun act the prelude to the big fight scene with the cabin burning down and Marilyn escapes on a raft down the river.
